Several times each school year, the Literacy Council facilitates book giveaways at both Blue Ridge and Summit Charter schools. Teachers select books that complement curriculum and each student gets a copy of the book to keep. This program has given tens of thousands of books to students in our community.
Little Free Libraries
The Council has installed, maintains, and restocks several Little Free Libraries across the community. The libraries run on the principle of “take a book, leave a book” and contain books for children and adults.
